The Benefits of A Happy Team!
"When people are financially invested, they want a return. When people are emotionally invested, they want to contribute." Simon Sinek
Any organisation is only as good as the people it employs. The core team at Monarch Personnel has really needed to rely on each for strength and support this past twelve months to help us through the pandemic. We have a happy and fun-loving team and I thought I would share my thoughts on the subject.
What benefits does the business realise from a happy team?
It appears to be no coincidence that whenever we seem to be at our busiest, the team seems to be at its happiest and each of us is hugely productive. Banter appears to increase with being busy, as does the clarity of thought and confidence in what we do. Our regard and gratitude for each other's ability are infectious.
We consider ourselves as market-leaders in what we do. We are currently striving to bring a new product/service to the marketplace. The level of creativity has been incredible amongst our small team. The development meetings have been fun with plenty of humour and each member of the senior team taking the lead on individual projects to keep the momentum on track. Happiness working with each other has held us together as a team and the innovation will be beneficial for the business's future growth and our personal development.
Clients enjoy dealing with us
It always makes me proud when a client says:" whenever I call your team, there is always someone laughing in the background." Clients and candidates appreciate our humour and I believe that a positive team delivers positive customer service.
Happiness and positivity are contagious
Everybody on our team contributes to the company culture. If you make the office a happy place to be, your team will enjoy coming to work. We spend more time working than we do spending time with our friends and family, it is no surprise that we want to be happy at work.
Get to know the character make-up of your team
We have a variety of "characters" in our organisation! (As anyone who deals with us well knows!) However, by understanding our team's personality profiles, we know how to bring the best out in each other and the most effective ways to communicate and motivate individuals.
The past year has been one of the toughest Monarch has seen. I am proud of my "happy" team. I look forward to us being back in the office together.
